Turned Acrylic Red & Baby Blue Swirl PenPeep Key Ring. Artist: M. Sheibley
This
is a detachable key ring, or as other say, key fob. It's made of a red
and blue swirly acrylic that I make myself and over a gold-plated tube.
It has a slightly whimsical shape that really accent the stanhope
PenPeep. The Serenity Prayer PenPeep
in this key ring is only temporarily mounted for this photo. This is
because I make all of my turned works with the hole ready to receive the
penpeep and I let my customer choose the image they want. Most often it
is a Custom Image PenPeep
that is required. That's what I really like most about using PenPeeps
in my work. I can prepare and finish items for sale and then adorn them
with the perfect stanhope photo every time.
Turned Acrylic Red & Gold Swirly PenPeep Key Fob. Artist: M. Sheibley
This
is a short detachable key fob with two rings that can be used for
separate sets of keys. You can put your house keys on one side and the
car or office keys
on the other. It's made of a red
and gold swirly acrylic that resembles red tortoise shell. The gold
plated PenPeep really looks neat nestled in the center of the turned
acrylic barrel. Everyone who peers inside is amazed at the tiny stanhope
picture. People like to show off their PenPeep items because they are a
great conversation starter anywhere you are. On the other hand PenPeeps
can also conceal private photos in plain sight.
This
key chain is made of another of my acrylic creations that looks like
Turquoise that formed together with Green Jade. The metal parts are
Chrome plated so I selected a Chrome finish PenPeep for this one. This
is a traditional Zeppelin shape that I often like to turn. Key rings are
fun and easy projects for beginning turners and PenPeeps are easy to
install for both novice and expert. I seldom make a pen or key chain
without one these days. PenPeeps have become a staple and trademark of
all my work. I try to come up with new and creative uses for penpeeps
like my turned maple Trinket Boxes.
Veined Gold Ore & Baltic Amber Fine Cigar Style Pen Artist: M. Sheibley
A
fine writing implement, this cigar style pen features a PenPeep with a
stanhope view inside. A photo can't possibly show the "fire" in this
beautiful pen. It's made of Baltic Amber over gold veined ore and I have
never seen anything like it. The gold vein is not actual gold but the
amber is genuine. It was a very difficult and time-consuming endeavor to
make such an extravagant pen. The metal parts are 24k gold &
titanium plated and the color scheme is very congruent but quite flashy.
It's a pen that gets a lot of attention and the stanhope in the PenPeep
adds to it's attraction.
Green & Blue Earth Inspired PenPeep Key Chain that Detaches Artist: M. Sheibley
This
Gold plated detachable key chain features a Green & Blue
"Earth-Swirl" fob that has a stanhope PenPeep nestled in the center. It
is another "one-of-a-kind" acrylic that was hand colored and cast. The
acrylic blank used to make this keychain is often mistaken for stone.

Acylic & Marble Dual Ink Teachers Pen Artist: M. Sheibley
Truly
a fabulous writing implement, this pen combines ultimate beauty,
character, comfort & function. It also has the added allure of the
stanhope PenPeep viewer mounted in the center. The PenPeep is gold
plated & perfectly matches thegold tips.The marble is actually a
solid surface material made of resin and reconstituted stone powders
& the acrylic is a swirl of all the primary colors but mostly deep
vibrant reds and blues. The pen twists on either end to expose the nib
for writing. One end writes in red ink while the other end is blue. It's
called a teachers pen because teachers favor them for correcting papers
using blue for praise & red for marking errors. Pens like these are

Bosnian Curly Tiger Maple "Parker Style" Deluxe Twist Pen Artist: M. Sheibley
This
exquisite pen is made of very rare Bosnian Maple with first class
figure known as flame. The wood exhibits it's natural warm tawny color
because it is nearly 300 years old & has been homogenized. Wood
homogenization is a lost art that was used by instrument makers
throughout Italy until the end of the 17th century & was recently
discovered to be the secret to Stradivari's unearthly sounding
instruments. The stripes undulate with every change of lights. The
chrome PenPeep doesn't match the silver satin finish but it makes a
pleasant contrast. The custom photo PenPeep shows my dog and special
friend "Gizmo". He's a strange looking mix of a Shar-Pei & Hairless
Chinese Crested. He looks lifelike when I peep inside.
